Knowledge related to liquid cooling equipment
¡¡¡¡Liquid cooling equipment uses liquid as a cooling medium, which can efficiently remove the heat generated by electronic devices and is widely used in data centers and high-performance computing fields.
Basic concepts of liquid cooling technology
Liquid cooling technology refers to the use of liquids (such as deionized water, fluoride solution, etc.) instead of air as a cooling medium, which exchanges heat with heating components (such as CPU, GPU, etc.) to remove heat. Compared with traditional air-cooled systems, liquid cooling systems have significant advantages in heat dissipation efficiency, noise control, and energy consumption.
Composition of liquid cooling equipment
The liquid cooling system mainly consists of the following parts:
Liquid cooled server: a server specifically designed for liquid cooling, with optimized internal structure to accommodate liquid cooling.
Liquid cooled cabinet: A cabinet used to accommodate liquid cooled servers and cooling equipment.
Manifold: A piping device used to distribute coolant, ensuring that the coolant flows evenly to all components that require cooling.
Power Distribution Unit (PDU): A device that provides power to liquid cooling systems.
Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU): responsible for the circulation and distribution of coolant, ensuring the efficient operation of the system.
Classification of liquid cooling technology
Liquid cooling technology can be divided into two categories:
Direct contact type: such as immersion liquid cooling, the equipment is completely immersed in the cooling liquid, which can achieve efficient heat dissipation.
Indirect contact type: such as cold plate liquid cooling, heat is transferred through the contact between the cold plate and the heating element.
